Piotti Extra Finish 12 Gauge Side Lock Ejector
Piotti Extra Finish 12 Gauge Sidelock Ejector. This is a very handsome gun with wonderful handling and some of the best balance I have felt on an Italian gun. The action is engraved by Granetti with an open floral design and dark background stippling. The furniture and action are 95% covered and have a coin finish with no discernible wear on the engraving. The action is a seven pin with a double Purdey underlugm articulated trigger and disk set strikers. The barrels are 27 1/2", 2 3/4" chamber, and very clean bores that measure: .728/.725 and chokes: .017/.025. the barrel blue is 95% and the rib is a medium width hand filed with a brass bead. The stock is a straight grip/ splinter with 30lpi chequering and great figure dark finish. The lop is 14 3/4" to a chequered butt, 1 3/4" dah, 1 1/2" dac and 0 cast. Robinson 16 Gauge Sidelock Ejector. The action on this gun is silver with 75% coverage of open scroll engraving and is tight on the face. There is a hidden third fastener and the triggers are nice, if a bit heavy. The wood to metal fit is good and the engraving is sharp and well defined. The barrels are 28" with good blue, 2 1/2" chamber, and very clean bores that measure: .665/.668 and chokes: .003/.027. The stock is a straight grip/ splinter with a 14 1/2" lop, 1 3/4" dah, 1 1/2"dac, 1/8 cast off, and nice grain with a 3/4" wood buttplate. The trigger is very good and there is 1 standing with a hooded front open sights. The barrel is 24 1/2" with strong rifling and 98% blue. Winchester Model 1873 .32 Restored by Winchester
Winchester Model 1873 .32 Cal Restored by Winchester in the late 1930s. This is a very clean gun with a very nice restoration. I was told by the owner that Winchester did the resto back in the 30s and I would tend to believe it based upon the fact that that the gun was in a period box. The Action is very clean on the inside and the rifle looks to have never been fired since the restoration. The lever is tight and all of the screw slots are perfect. The blue is 98% overall with the only thinning being on the bottom of the lever toward the lower end. The barrel is an octagon, 24", with the correct sights and barrel script that is sharp at the edges. Westley Richards 20 Gauge Boxlock Ejector. This is a very clean original T number gun built by Westley and retailed by Von Longerke & Antoine in Chicago. The action is tight with 60% case colour and border engraving with Westley engraved on the action and barrels. This gun has a Webley style top lever and not a C-bolt. There is a Greener crossbolt and the triggers are good. The barrels are 28" with a 2 3/4" chamber and clean bores that measure: .627/.627, chokes: .030/.033. The stock is a very nice piece of wood with fleur de lis chequering and nice finish. The lop is 15" to a thin buttplate, 2 1/2" dah, 1 3/4" dac, 0 cast. Pape Toggle Lever 16 Gauge Nitro Proofed
Pape Toggle Lever 16 Gauge Nitro Proofed. This is a really nice field gun built by William Rochester Pape in the 1860s. These "Toggle Lever" actions are fairly rare, and a neat variant of fastening system, from the era before the top lever became standard. This gun has a clean action with sharp, well defined engraving and beautiful high ear hammers. The mainsprings are very strong with good trigger sears and a nice let off. The action is tight and the release lever functions well. The barrels are 30" with strong brown and good definition in the pattern. The bores are very clean and measure: .667/.671 and the chokes: .000/.007. This gun nearly predates choke boring, and in fact, William Pape had a somewhat valid claim on the invention of constricting bores. 2 3/4" chamber with Birmingham nitro proofs to match. The stock has modern high dimensions, 1 3/4" dah, 1 1/2" dac, 0 degrees cast and a 14 1/4" lop to a steel buttplate. The chequering is very nice and the finish is a dark, hand rubbed oil. 6lbs 11oz. Holland & Holland M98 .375 H&H Takedown With Original Case
Holland & Holland .375 H&H Takedown With Original Case. This rifle was built in 1928 and is in good original condition. The action and barrel have been reblued at some time and the job was well done and is old work. This is very common on all English shotguns and rifles. The action has the stripper clip cutaway and the Griffin & Howe sidemount has been profiled to match this. The sidemount is very old and has blind screws with good mechanical function and strong blue. The scope is a 1X4 Vari X 3 Leopold that is clear with good exterior finish. The barrel is 24" with good blue and address markings and a strong bore. The Rear open sight has been blocked out to facilitate the use of the Lyman 48. The stock is in very good condition with good finish and strong chequering. The lop is 14 1/4" to a Silvers buttpad and there are two sling swivels mounted on the stock as well as a barrel band swivel. The grip cap is a trap style with the extra firing pin present and there is a crestplate. Sedgley Springfield .220 Swift With a Perfect bore. This is a 95% condition overall rifle. The action is a 1903 Springfield with 98% blue and a Lyman 48 that is in very good condition. The barrel is 24" with a barrel band ramp and hood front sight and 98% blue. The R.F. Sedgley marking is clear as is the caliber marking. The forward ring of the receiver has been drilled as has the barrel 6" forward of the action. This was done to facilitate the use of a target scope and the holes have the period filler screws in place. The stock is very clean and almost in "as new" condition with strong chequering and finish. the lop is 13 1/2" to a factory metal buttplate. Sedgley Springfield .25 Roberts. The action on this rifle is very clean with 85% blue and a Lyman 48 that is cosmetically clean and correctly mounted. The barrel is 24" with a good bore and 95% blue. The R.F. Sedgley markings are clear with the rear sight being a rollover two leaf style and the front is a barrel band ramp with a hood. The stock is very clean with some minor handling marks and two spots that are more like scratches, a bit more serious than handling marks. La Bantchni Springfield Sporter 30-06. This is a Jules La Bantchni custom sporter built with a Springfield action and a custom barrel. These rifles are sometimes know as "Jules" rifles and are among the very best bolt action rifles ever built in the U.S. The action is very clean with 95% blue and a Lyman 48 with the slide and no crossbar. The scope is a Lyman Alaskan that is clear and has very clean exterior finish and is mounted on a Redfield mount. The blue on the barrel and the floor plate is 98% with the barrel being a 22" round with a perfect bore. The rear sight has had a blank installed and the front sight is a barrel band ramp with a hood. Barrel band sling swivel, fancy one panel bolt handle, and crestplate. The stock is in 98% condition with above average chequering and finish, wrap around chequering at the grip, horn grip cap, 13 1/2" lop to a steel buttplate.
