Holland & Holland M98 .375 H&H Takedown With Original Case Holland & Holland .375 H&H Takedown With Original Case. This rifle was built in 1928 and is in good original condition. The action and barrel have been reblued at some time and the job was well done and is old work. This is very common on all English shotguns and rifles. The action has the stripper clip cutaway and the Griffin & Howe sidemount has been profiled to match this. The sidemount is very old and has blind screws with good mechanical function and strong blue. The scope is a 1X4 Vari X 3 Leopold that is clear with good exterior finish. The barrel is 24" with good blue and address markings and a strong bore. The Rear open sight has been blocked out to facilitate the use of the Lyman 48. The stock is in very good condition with good finish and strong chequering. The lop is 14 1/4" to a Silvers buttpad and there are two sling swivels mounted on the stock as well as a barrel band swivel. The grip cap is a trap style with the extra firing pin present and there is a crestplate.
