Griffin & Howe .300Super Mag. Pre war 70 Fugger. The action on this rifle is very clean with very good blue, no holes drilled in the rear bridge, the bolt is a two panel with sharp chequering and very little wear, bolt is lightly jewelled and very smooth, the safety is a post war type built by Griffin, the side mount has blind holes and a Lyman Perma Center 2 1/2 power clear scope with good blue and no wear visible, The floor plate and trigger guard are engraved by Fugger with nearly full coverage open scroll and a standing elk in a panel. The barrel is a 24" model 70 barrel with the Winchester proofs intact, bore is minty, barrel band sling swivel and front sight. The stock is in very good condition with ebony fore end tip, the walnut has very nice figure and contrast, chequering and finish are strong, 13 1/2" lop to a trap butt, 8lbs 10oz. 0581561 S335 $12850.00

Griffin & Howe Springfield .30-06 Kornbrath Engraved. This rifle was built 1926-27 and engraved by Rudolph J kornbrath. The floor plate has 85% coverage of tight scroll with the name Dr. H.C. Harper in gold inlay. The engraving continues onto the triggerguard and is sharp with 80% coverage. The bottom screws are engraved in a fancy pattern with the work continuing onto the barrel and the trap style butt plate. The action has a bordered panel on the forward ring, action blue is 90% with some wear at the edges, 2 panel bolt knob, very good trigger. There is a Lyman 48 mounted at the rear, a Noske sidemount with blind screws, and a Ziess Zeilviermi fixed power scope that is clear with strong blue on all. The barrel is 22" with a banded rear sight, 2 folded, and stippled on top to cut down on glare. The forward sight is a barrel band style with a hood, a small brass bead, and border engraving around the base, bore quality is 85% with some frosting ahead of the chamber. The stock is Griffin quality wood with a horn fore end cap and grip cap, strong chequering and 855 original oil finish. The lop is 13 3/4" to a trap butt plate. 9lbs 2oz. The action on this gun is very clean, jeweled trigger guard, custom trigger, Blackburn bottom metal. All bluing is in very good shape. Bolt has been jeweled and is extraordinarily smooth. The barrel is 24 " and is a Winchester stock barrel with expressed sights - one standing, three folded. Hooded front sight. Barrel band sling swivel. The stock is a full custom with the best chequering I have ever seen in person. Banded and fleur-de-lis with different size chequering inside the fleur-de-lis bands. Skeleton grip cap with star and chequered background. Double band cheek piece. Inletted sling swivel. The quality of the wood is wonderful and the balance is far above average. This is a totally custom gun in every way. 14" LOP.

Francotte Best Quality Model 98 #2 of a Series .270.
This rifle is number 2 of a series, I also have number 7 for sale, I do not know how many rifles were in the series and I think they are to commemorate North American game. This rifle is in new condition as has not been fired, shows no signs of use of any kind. The action of the rifle is a standard 98 with a long Holland styly top tang that extends nearly to the cheek at the top of the butt, the trigger guard is also long and extends to the engraved grip cap. The trigger guard, grip cap, butt plate, and top strap are all engraved with very well done open scroll, there is a gold inlay in the middle of the floor plate of a whitetail deer, the grip cap is a trap style, all are in French grey, The barrel is 24" with all blue in new condition, Quarter rib with cross hatching, double teir with open scroll, 1 standing and two folded, gold inlay of makers name and caliber, roll over patent hooded fore sight. The stock is of very high quality walnut with very nice figure and contrast, the chequering is 28lpi, very well done, Pachmeyr style sling swivels, the rifle has very nice balance overall and is very well executed, 7lbs 6oz. 0214811 S46 $7500.00

This rifle is a part of a series of rifles that I think are to commemorate north American game. I have # 2 available in another listing and I do not know how many were in the series or the origin of the commission. The action on the rifle is clean with no evidence of having been fired, long Holland style top strap extending past the thumb hole, neither ring has been drilled, the floorplate, trigger guard, trap grip cap, and butt plate are French grey and engraved in open scroll, well done gold inlay of a bear. The barrel is 24" with good blue, two tier quarter rib with 1 standing and two folded. open scroll engraving, roll over hooded fore sight. The stock is of above average walnut with really nice figure and contrast, chequering is tight and well executed, hand rubbed oil finish, Pachmeyr style sling swivels, ebony fore end cap, the balance is above average and this would be a wonderful rifle to hunt. 7lbs 13oz. 0214851
