Westley Richards 12 Gauge Boxlock, Damascus, New Nitro Proofs. Clean. This gun is in nice condition and has nice balance and feel. The action is tight on the face, two bbl lugs, double bite with a Scott spindle and no C-Bolt, Leslie Taylor era, Non Auto safe, double triggers that have a nice let off, good screws and furniture. The barrels are damascus with 70MM London nitro proofs circa 2008, wall thickness is very good with no reading below .030, BBL diameters are .735/.735 with chokes CYL/FULL. The stock is in very good shape with a correct oil finish and very nice chequering, wood to metal fit is very good and level. The LOP is 14 3/4", drop at heel is 2 1/2", drop at comb is 1 3/4" and no cast. Any work done on the gun was done correctly and looks period. The case is in fair condition with a nice label. There is a factory letter with the gun that states that the gun was completed in 1903 for C.J. Stirk and Son in Grahamstown, South Africa. 6lbs 10oz 0T9371 $4100.00
